- DTSaitoSeptember 10, 2025Great new series. Just an awful shame they didn’t acknowledge H.R. Giger for the original creature design. Hans Ruedi (H. R.) Giger (1940–2014) was a Swiss painter, sculptor, and designer best known for his surreal biomechanical style, blending human forms with machines in dreamlike, often nightmarish imagery. Trained in architecture and industrial design in Zürich, he rose to fame with his book Necronomicon (1977), which caught the attention of Ridley Scott. Giger designed the terrifying Xenomorph for Alien (1979), winning an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects. Beyond film, he created album covers, furniture, and large-scale sculptures, and in 1998 opened the H. R. Giger Museum in Gruyères, Switzerland. His work remains highly influential in science fiction, horror, and contemporary art. Giger died in 2014 at age 74, leaving behind a legacy of dark, visionary art that continues to inspire.
- fraggle67August 14, 2025My fear is coming to fruition. Our female lead character makes everything about her. Disney can no longer just tell a story. They have to add political subtext. Ripley was a badass. This girl is selfish and disrespectful to the company that saved her life immediately after being "born again." It's a shame because the Alien/sci-fi portions of this are excellently filmed, but the writing is weak, especially its subplots. It's confusing at times, and some things make no sense.
- MallekAugust 13, 2025Really good, but really strange. Idk how I’m supposed to feel about this yet. I like that I don’t know how to feel about it, but I’m also worried that it’s gonna get really corny really quick. The world building is great. But putting children into artificial bodies and making them super heroes, and then sticking them into a survival horror show is really really odd… 9/10… for now….
- adam3199August 13, 2025At play in the fields of the lord. A phrase coined by a semi obscure writer in 1965 that came to me as I watched episode 2 of this much better installment in the Alien franchise. Technology is so innovative, as much as politics, law and government is necessarily iterative. Highly imaginative. Maybe even at Akira and Bladerunner levels. Will wait for the next episodes. The higher the tech level, the more childlike we become
