E1Death and the Good LifeThe discovery of a body at the edge of a torrent disturbs the quiet life of Alex Hugo, a former cop in Marseille, now a rural guard in a secluded post in the mountains because of the unusual violence not seen that area. Very quickly "the killer with the axe" is caught but a copy-cat takes advantage to imitate the mode of operation of this criminal and assassinate the director of a cheese dairy. Alex soon realises that this murder may be related to a Marseille case of fifteen years ago. The sleeping instinct of the cop awakens. He will have to find the killer along with Caroline Wacquier, an investigator from the criminal brigade, who stirs the ghosts of the past.
