Plastic is an invention that has changed life on Earth, and its uses have gradually expanded to include most industries, from plastic bottles to artificial joints, until it has now become impossible to give it up without collapsing our world as we know it. But plastic is also gradually destroying the environment, with its waste that is almost impossible to decompose, and its role in increasing global warming, transmitting diseases, and harming marine life. So how did plastic transform from a solution aimed at preserving the environment and its natural resources to the savagery we see today?
