After a history of criminalization, science gave a new opportunity to hallucinogenic substances that produced preliminary results indicating possible scientific and medical uses, especially in psychotherapy. These materials present a model radically different from traditional treatment methods for recovery from psychiatric disorders. Even if studies find answers to the questions posed by these materials about the brain, cognition and psychological recovery, is it enough to make them effective alternatives to future psychotherapy?
