From the very bone chilling opening, to the absolutely creepy & unforgettable last act 👧📺 The Ring remake has it all, that has that perfect balance of being both a very plot and character driven film at the same time. This film really takes its time to really develop & enhance the lore, themes and the overall story brilliantly. I also love the whole slow burn, investigating 🔎 aspect to this movie, it has going on between Rachel & Noah. And what I really love about The Ring (2002) is the whole aesthetic and it has that green colour palette 🟢📺 I've always been enarmoured with it, since watching it as a kid by the cold, sickly green tint that runs throughout the film. It really gives the film that real atmosphere & sense of dread to it, perfectly complementing the dark tone and making us the viewers watching feel just as helpless and trapped as our protagonists are. And finally "Samara" is one of the most scary & creepy looking horror villains of all time and the firstly ever time I watched this when I was 9 years old; where she comes out of the TV 📺👧 in the last act to kill "Noah" that terrified the life out of me. I had a lot of sleepless nights for a while the first time I ever watched it. As a kid loving and watching horror movies, The Ring remake gave me everything I wanted. Also if your 10 years old kid calls you by your first namen you leave them along all the time and everyone tells you how "mature and independent they are", congrats! You have managed to successfully break your kid.

- One Maggi after Another29 de outubro de 2025I'd already seen the highlights of this film so there was basically nothing fresh it could offer to me but it still had me caught up all the time and kept me wondering about it. But I just would've loved it more if the plot were a bit more dramatic. Like, how am I supposed to feel bad for that girl if I don't know anything about her? And I could just tell that it was made under a production value of less than $1-2 million but it really didn't need that all for what it was. Anyway, these things just didn't matter because I couldn't think of nothing but the film while watching it. And I really needed an explanation to understand what happened in the ending lol :)
