Beat for beat this 1998 remake film is exactly the same as the 1960 Original Classic. They should have had a similar template "YES" of course, but also in the process try and put there own spin on it at the same time; instead of just playing it safe and doing a carbon copy of one of the most significantly most important movies ever made!! Is this remake terrible "NO" not at all but your just watching a literal 1998 copy of the 1960 film everything plays out pretty much exactly the same as the 1960 film. So whenever I'm in the mood to watch Psycho, I'm just going to watch the 1960 classic instead of this 1998 remake. However if you want to watch a more modern version of Psycho then watch it. But just realise this isn't as well done or as good as the 1960 film not even close. It's basically a watered down version of the original.
