Anime Kill la Kill opowiada o losach Ryuko Matoi, która chce dowiedzieć się, kto zabił jej ojca. Swoje poszukiwania ma zamiar zacząć w jednej z obecnych uczelni. Tam dowiaduje się, że przewodnicząca szkoły Kiryuin Satsuki wie, kto jest mordercą ojca Ryuko, jednak nie chce jej tego wyjawić, dopóki nie wykona ona wszystkich zleconych przez nią zadań. Na samym początku Ryuko musi pokonać jednego z kapitanów szkolnego klubu, przegrywa jednak i ucieka do swojego domu. Tam przez przypadek odkrywa tajne przejście, w którym znajduje się wynalazek jej ojca – boskie wdzianko, któremu nadaje imię Senketsu. Strój ten bardzo zwiększa jej siłę, dzięki czemu jest w stanie podołać wyzwaniom Kiryuin. W między czasie Ryuko zaprzyjaźnia się z uczennicą Mako. Razem mają zamiar podołać następnym wyzwaniom.

But on the other hand, it's more style than substance. It's disappointing, considering the talent behind it, Masahiko Ôtsuka and Hiroyuki Imaishi, who already showed that with FLCL and TTGL, you can have both.
