From a technical standpoint—as noted at the outset—the film is a cornerstone of the Dogme 95 movement; consequently, everything is shot handheld using only natural light, with no constructed sets or overly structured elements, lending the work an intimate and almost entirely spontaneous feel. In several scenes, the handheld camera even makes way for the boom microphone. All in all, it is a truly solid film—distinctive and, above all, unusual.
