Narges Rashidi is an Iranian-German actress. She was born in Iran where her father was an army colonel. She experienced the Iran-Iraq War and spent time hiding with her mother in a building basement during bombing attacks. In 1987 she settled with her family in Turkey. A year later the family moved to Germany, and she went on to study acting in Berlin. She has lived primarily in Los Angeles since 2005.
