Edivaldo Pereira Alves, known by his stage name, Edi Rock, is a Brazilian rapper and songwriter. He began his career in 1984, when he performed at home dances with his partner KL Jay. In 1988, on the outskirts of the city of São Paulo, alongside KL Jay, Mano Brown and Ice Blue, he founded the rap group Racionais MC's, of which he is a member to this day.
