Andréa Maciel Pachá is a Brazilian judge and writer. She was promoted to the position of appellate judge of the TJ-RJ on August 30, 2021. She holds a law degree from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). As a member of the National Council of Justice (CNJ), she created the National Adoption Registry and the Conciliation and Access to Justice Commission, in addition to working on the implementation of Violence against Women Courts throughout Brazil. She also promoted campaigns to simplify the language used in proceedings, combating "legalese". For her work at the CNJ, she received the Bertha Lutz Diploma in 2010.
