- CarbonDJ4. november 2025Love this movie. Great performances from Norton and Damon. Malkovich delivers as one of my favorite characters he has ever portrayed, Teddy KGB. A must for any poker fan, as this came out right before every WSOP was aired on ESPN during prime time. Actually, this movie may have started the cool factor of poker to the mainstream.

- Alex Squires9. juni 2025I'm gonna lay this monster review down. Even for someone who doesn't play poker, the underdog writing and acting combined create a surprisingly riveting movie. Not once was I leaving my seat to grab a drink in fear that I'd miss a critical point of the movie.

Poker addict Mike McDermott knows the game inside out, but loses his money one night in a game to Russian-American gangster Teddy KGB.
