After the fall of civilization, the few survivors have been driven to cannibalism. A young man must confront a violent tribe that has murdered his father and stolen the medicine that keeps his girlfriend alive.
- Patrick WaiFebruary 7, 2026Year 10 (2024) wastes no time on pleasantries. With almost no dialogue, the film drops you headfirst into a filthy, brutal post-apocalyptic world and simply expects you to keep up. It’s an intensely suspenseful experience that pulls no punches, thriving on atmosphere rather than exposition. The grit feels earned, not performative, and the filmmakers clearly squeezed every ounce of value from a limited budget. At its core, this is a story about desperation and survival — a world where only the strongest endure, and the characters wear that reality like a second skin. The tension builds beautifully toward the ending, though the film stumbles slightly by never convincingly explaining why cannibalism becomes the go-to option when wolves are apparently plentiful. Still, the rawness works far more often than it doesn’t, making Year 10 a harsh but compelling watch.
