X-Men Ratings & Reviews
- HumptyFebruary 23, 2025OMG TALL WOLVERINE ALSO I LOVE X-MEN!!!
- Amir AnimashaunAugust 7, 2025Yeah this movie is a banger I love the way the mutants use the powers specifically Storm. Minus the weakling that is Sabretooth, the rest of the villains are pretty strong and have their own time to shine. Magneto is an absolute menace and I cannot wait for what he has in store for the X-Men in the sequel. I actually quite like the black leather suits there’s something about them that are pleasant. And who could forget Hugh Jackman’s portrayal as Wolverine cos imo it’s the best he’s fantastic in this movie and truly embodies this character perfectly and the only one close that I can think of is Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man. My only issue is that some of the effects are pretty noticeably bad and Storm’s one liner towards Toad I didn’t get but that’s my only negatives.
- ርልዪረ3d agoX-Men is first superhero team movie in history. Also it is Marvel's first movie with a high budget. Movie is amazing about storytelling, especially in first one hour. I really liked the world they created. But then it becomes a bit meaningless and complicated. CGI's are good for 2000. Actors and actresses are awesome with their roles, every one of them. This film have some surprising scenes, especially with Mistique. Bryan Singer made a good job at all.
- Danny Potter-JonesAugust 24, 2025These Old X-Men films aren't written that well but growing up with this is nostalgic and feels acceptable. The costumes are still lame but the characters are pretty decent. The actors for Magneto, professor X, Wolverine are really good. I thought the actress for Storm was good except the line given to Toad 😂. They butchered Rogue rubbish script for her.
- GodertzzNovember 9, 2025Good 1st Movie but could not get better then Hugh Jackman as wolverine
- Gerard4d agoOk for its time but really dated in 2026
- Harish CousalDecember 12, 2025A sharp, grounded intro that set the tone for modern superhero films. The team dynamics feel fresh without overdoing it. Magneto and Xavier bring real dramatic weight. Simple, tight, and surprisingly easy to love even today
- M08YJanuary 11, 2026Probably one of the most important comic/superhero movies of all time. X-Men doesn't really excel in any specific area... but it does manage to keep it's head above water in EVERY area. That doesnt sound like high praise, but it was incredibly important at the time. X-Men proved that comic book movies could work in the 21st century. With the Batman movies struggling, Marvel really excelled by absolutely knocking it out of the park with X-Men and Spiderman. The film itself is fairly rushed, not that well thought through and cheesy as all hell. The cast more than make up for it. Stewart, McKellen and Jackman are superbly cast here. Something that never fails to catch my eye on this one is the cinematography. This film, more than most really does feel like it was adapted straight from the comic book pages. You could imagine almost every scene being perfectly replicated on paper. The 4K bluray is pretty decent. Most of the film is clear and crisp. The audio and special effects leave a lot to be desired however.
- The Amazing WolfDecember 17, 2025Still a Great film. Even after all these years

- flavo43November 24, 2025X-Men was a long-overdue dream come true for fans like me who had followed the team for years. Seeing the characters, the Mansion, and the world of mutants brought to life in a live-action film felt nothing short of surreal. The casting was outstanding—Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and the rest of the ensemble immediately embodied their roles in a way that felt authentic and respectful to the source material. The film laid the groundwork for what would become a major franchise, and even though the story itself was a bit on the weak side, the thrill of finally seeing the X-Men on screen carried it effortlessly. Nostalgia filled in the gaps, and the movie’s tone, character introductions, and world-building more than compensated for any narrative shortcomings. As a starting point for the series, X-Men was great—an exciting, heartfelt, and promising beginning to a new era of superhero cinema.
- EinieSeptember 26, 2025Enjoyable
- WaltAugust 7, 2025Rewatched in 2025 and I appreciated a lot this movie. It’s better than 80% than nowadays garbage cinecomics
- mickerdooJuly 13, 2025Effects weren't awful. Toad and Sabretooth are lame. The rest of the performances just lacked the panache that the sequels made us love.
- PhineasJuly 10, 2025It hasn't aged the greatest over the years, but for the time this movie was groundbreaking and Hugh Jackman can still kick it.
