- Mike MartinsJune 19, 2025🌟🌟🌟 "Better Than Expected, But Still a Bloody Mess" Wrong Turn 2 surprised me. I went in expecting a generic low-budget horror sequel, but it actually delivered some decent entertainment—if you're into over-the-top gore and backwoods mayhem. The plot is thin (reality show contestants vs. cannibal hillbillies), but it moves fast and doesn’t waste time. Henry Rollins is a highlight—he plays a former Marine and totally steals the show with his no-nonsense attitude and unexpected action-hero moments. The gore is intense—practical effects are brutal and creative, which horror fans will appreciate. But the story is shallow, characters are mostly forgettable, and there's nothing new if you’ve seen any survival horror before. It’s not smart or original, but it’s a decent popcorn slasher flick if you just want mindless horror fun. Just don’t expect much more than guts, grime, and guilty pleasure.
