- jackmeat9. Juli 2025My quick rating - 5.5/10. I am a fan of Michael B. Jordan so if you attach him to something by Tom Clancy, I will most likely enjoy it. Admittedly, I have never read a single one of his books (yes, throw the tomatoes, I understand), but I am well aware of his stories being very adaptable to the screen and with good success. So yes, I was looking forward to this and yes, I really have to pick up a book of his one of these years. So in this one, MBJ plays an ex-navy seal who finds himself knee deep in a huge conspiracy when his sole goal was to avenge his wife's murder. You can basically, at that point, load up the guns and let Amazon Studios budget do the talking. The action sequences are very nicely done, even if a bit on the unbelievable side. The conspiracy is nicely written in a sort of layered way, it is revealed. Acting really wasn't the issue here, although MBJ did put in the effort a bit more than the rest of the crew. Overall, I was entertained but felt a bit disappointed at how many times I just rolled my eyes at scenes and storylines. They were just trying so hard to keep outdoing the last part that the layers, as I mentioned, stacked up way too high. Still, worth a watch, especially if a fan of MBJ, BUT judging by what people are saying on IMDB, this is NOT for you if you are a Clancy fan. That is why I made sure to point that out at the beginning. Apparently this movie takes a dump on the actual book, which is unfortunate. But don't believe the listings of 1/10 on there, that is just not true.

- Pissed Off Papa21. März 2026Good movie, but I am rating it on the Clancy novel that I just started rereading again and have many times already, so this is NOT A TOM CLANCY BOOK! This has alot of action that people who do not read Tom Clancy books will like. #1 John's wife was killed by a Truck Driver with a faulty brake system. #2 Greer is a Man and a ADMIRAL #3 Johns wife died back in the 70's soon after he came home form Nam. #4 Because of the woke people they made Clark Black, Admiral Greer was played by the late and great James Earl Jones. Please Amazon QUIT DEGRADING THE LATE TOM CLANCY Legacy by writing crap and saying its his. 4.5 stars for the movie, 3 stars for the TOM CLANCY MOVIE that its not. Btw he went on a revenge killing spree to avenge the young girl he fell in love with that was killed by drug dealers and pimps. This is the book not the movie
- Zokkiie18. Februar 2026Watched this thinking it’d be a smart Clancy thriller, and it kinda is… just with a ton more punches and gunfire. Michael B. Jordan owns the role, and some of the action set pieces are seriously well done. On the flip side, the story feels chopped up, and a few characters get zero development. It’s exciting, but it could’ve used a bit more brains behind the brawn.

- flavo4326. November 2025Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse had all the ingredients for a strong adaptation: a beloved source novel, excellent casting, and a modern reimagining that felt timely. As a longtime fan of the book, I genuinely believed the film had promise. The setting and tone are spot on, and Michael B. Jordan brings an intense physicality to John Kelly. However, the storyline becomes confusing at times, losing much of the depth and clarity that made the novel so powerful. In the book, Kelly wages a private war while simultaneously carrying out CIA operations—a dual path that shapes his transformation into the morally ambiguous operative we later see in Clear and Present Danger. That complexity is crucial, showing how far he’s willing to go and why he ultimately becomes such a formidable intelligence asset. The film touches on his thirst for revenge, but doesn’t fully explore the grey areas or internal conflicts that define him. Perhaps a sequel will dive deeper into the darker, more nuanced life he is destined to lead.
