For two years, Fee has been having a secret affair with the married orthopedist Dr. Wolfgang Schlegel, who repeatedly promises her that he will leave his wife in order to open his own practice with Felicitas. The realization of this dream comes closer when Fee's favorite uncle dies and leaves her a farm in Bavaria. For Wolfgang, who accompanies Fee to the funeral service in her old home, the matter is clear: over her head, he makes contact with a windy broker in order to sell the run-down farm as quickly as possible and put the money into the joint practice. But for Fee, who reminisces about her youth, it all happens a bit quickly - and there's a catch: Luise, her uncle's clever and cheerful housekeeper, has a lifelong right to live in the magnificent old farmhouse, which is also a listed building . While Wolfgang now has to go to Munich because his wife thinks he's at a medical conference there and wants to visit him, Fee is having more and more doubts about whether she should even sell. When the farm goes up in flames one night, Fee is suspected of setting the fire herself in order to solve the problem with the monument protection. The dedicated veterinarian Valentin Wildner is at her side and convicts the corrupt city councilor Ebert as an arsonist. Fee and Valentin get closer - but now of all times Wolfgang shows up with the long-awaited news that he has finally separated from his wife.
