Where the Boys Are Ratings & Reviews
Charles London
March 12, 2025
The title implies this movie is a remake of the classic 1960 film of the same name, you know, the one that invented the teen beach-comedy. Don't be fooled. The producers of this seemingly unrelated picture apparently sought to invoke memories of the original when they branded it with the familiar name, made a cover of the title song, and touted it as an updated (R-rated) version. With a better script, it may have worked. No offense to Lisa Hartman, but Connie Francis, where are you?
Reel Film Reviews

There's ultimately not a whole lot within Where the Boys Are worth embracing or getting excited about...
Chicago Sun-Times
Roger Ebert
An exercise in exhausted cynicism.
