Hilariously quite similar to Let’s Scare Jessica to Death So what exactly did she first see the neighbor do??? Uhhh I’d be a little more creeped out about the front door opening by itself while standing right outside but you know whatever. Thank god she at least acknowledges how weird it is THE THIRD TIME IT HAPPENS Loved how she was so infuriatingly one step behind when using the binoculars smh James Stewart would never be so inept Man you just kinda know Harrison’s the baddie from the get-go huh Nice Chekhov’s drug Wait until you have some strength before you go making a damn racket! Unfortunate that you can see a lot of stuff (plot points, scares, etc.) coming even in a film as “twisty” and mysterious as it is. Not the big scare tho I’ll give them that Also may have been just a bit too long. Some of that could have been condensed. Never fully understood the Scary Movie 2 spoof of this until now! I’ve only seen it 50 times Watched au naturale (lights out, candles lit, door open, 5 AM) - thrilling!
- PhysicalMedia4LifeMay 25, 2026There's two interesting fun-facts about "What Lies Beneath" 01: This is the only horror/thriller that the great "Harrison Ford" has ever done & 02: The Director "Robert Zemeckis" shot this movie in its entirety, as he was making the "Tom Hanks" film "Cast Away" due to the fact that he had to wait for Tom Hanks to lose a lot of weight for his role in that film. And in the meantime while that was happening Robert Zemeckis made this film.
