Weapons Ratings & Reviews
- juliantmMay 7, 2026Really enjoyable watch. Some scenes were fairly gory just as a fyi. High quality production. I found it interesting how they structured the movie by showing perspectives but did find that bloated the narrative and I wish they went more into how and why. Otherwise very pleasant with fantastic acting and production quality.
- macaronzApril 30, 2026I recently watched Weapons, and it’s definitely not your typical horror film. The first half sets up a classic mystery: children are vanishing, a witch is suspected, and the local school teacher is taking all the blame. However, the second half takes an unexpected turn that completely flips the script. It reminded me a lot of the Indian film franchise Vash (Parts 1 & 2), which I watched last year. While the presentation is unique, the core story beats are so similar that I wonder if Weapons was inspired by it. Overall, I really enjoyed it, the entire cast delivered fantastic performances. Especially Amy madigan steal the show, the jump scare I feel from Benedict Wong was horrific.
