Waterloo Bridge Ratings & Reviews

Really sweet and sudden love story, a whirlwind romance of almost whimsy if it weren't for Myra's history, a history the film is coy about stating in a very sanitised way. I fell in love with Vivien Leigh all over again, and I'd wager not for the last time.

Let there be no doubt about it. Vivien Leigh is as fine an actress as we have on the screen today. Maybe even the finest, and that's a lot to say.
Journal and Courier (Lafayette, IN)
Bob Bloom
A glossy MGM weeper. A chick flick from the golden era.
Mountain Xpress (Asheville, NC)
Ken Hanke
Glossy, sanitized remake of the brilliant 1931 James Whale film
