- Chris C2 novembre 2025As with Chapter 1, this continues the predominantly faithful adaptation of the legendary graphic novel. It's visually beautiful and it's hard to imagine a more accurate version ever getting greenlit in the future. Unlike Zak Snyder's live action film, this keeps the same original ending from the source material. Here's the thing, though: as unpopular an opinion as it might be, I actually prefer the more modern, updated ending Snyder did. (And that's kind of surprising for me, because I'm typically not a big fan of Snyder's hyper-realistic visual style or his storytelling.) Still, I appreciate the original ending for what it is and it still works well here, particularly with how faithful the entire package is. Fans of the graphic novel will certainly enjoy this two-part animated adaptation.

The animation is beautifully done and fits the tone perfectly, and it feels more faithful to the source material than the live-action version. That said, the live-action still comes off a bit stronger overall—it just hits harder in some moments. The characters already feel messy and layered, which keeps things interesting. It drags slightly here and there, but not enough to take you out of it.

- vangh128 février 2025I think it's just really time to come to terms with the fact that while it's so enticing to imagine a perfect adaptation of a perfect graphic novel, there never will be one. I haven't read the graphic novel recently enough to put my finger on all the changes, but I feel so much more disillusioned with this one vs. chapter 1, it really didn't feel the same.

- Don Wainwright29 novembre 2024It was just out there. If I wanted to read a comic book, or in this case, have it ready to me for most of the show, I would have picked a better storyline. This one just didn't connect with me and I got disinterested in it pretty quickly.
