In 1999, teenage sisters Celeste and Eleanor survive a seismic, violent tragedy. The sisters compose and perform a song about their experience, making something lovely and cathartic out of catastrophe — while also catapulting Celeste to stardom. By 2017, the now 31-year-old Celeste is mother to a teenage daughter of her own and struggling to navigate a career fraught with scandals when another act of terrifying violence demands her attention.

    Oh Brady really REALLY likes architecture huh. Also he’s not dispelling any rumors of Zionism with this lol An opening so shocking I s2g it almost gave my mom a heart attack Portman is a little extra in this but I get it. Feels like she is trying to make up for a weak script by attempting to recapture the magic of Black Swan. Unfortunately results in textbook overacting! Christopher Abbott was a highlight as always The sound design in the finale was…….incredibly curious Not good!! “Produced by Sia” should have scared me off in retrospect Good first act tho!
