Voukoum is a creole word from the French West Indies islands meaning a kind of mess and riot. Voukoum is also the name of a cultural movement from the Guadeloupe islands, based in a popular district, in the city of Basse Terre. Voukoum is a noisy and massive movement, an original way for people « from the street » to express themselves and claim their identity. The film is a try about civic and cultural resistance, body and soul expression through music, dance and historical memories.
