Rebecca Büchner and Lutz Fahrenhorst have only known each other for six months, but they want to spend the rest of their lives together. And this Sunday they will say "I do" - at least that's what Rebecca, the happy bride, believes. Of course, Lutz's parents, who live in Spain, are also invited. And so the future daughter-in-law meets her future mother-in-law only two days before the wedding. Too early, as it turns out. For Gerlinde Fahrenhorst, it is clear from the start that her son should only have the perfect wife. And Rebecca does not fit this ideal at all, no matter how hard she tries. Whatever she tries, it goes wrong. Gerlinde is more and more convinced that she must save her son from a terrible misstep.
