A factory guard is found murdered in Amuri, Tampere, and young detective Ernest Braun is assigned to solve the case. However, the investigation slows down when Braun receives an invitation to the vicarage, where Reverend Paulus Kanto has noticed his commendable work in dealing with crimes.
