I imagine the bad guy (Marcus) asking the director repeatedly, what's my motivation here.. I dont understand this character, and getting no answers.. MORE ACTION, the director screams as he walks around set...

Underworld: Evolution (2006) continues the saga of vampires and lycans, expanding the mythology with the introduction of hybrids and a deeper dive into the origins of their centuries-old war. The film builds on the gothic atmosphere of its predecessor, offering a story that feels both mysterious and slightly convoluted at times. While the lore is intriguing, the narrative occasionally struggles with clarity, leaving some plot points open to interpretation. Kate Beckinsale once again commands the screen as Selene, delivering a fierce and stylish performance that anchors the film. Visually, Evolution is a spectacle, filled with intense battles, darkly atmospheric settings, and striking creature designs. However, the reliance on CGI is heavier here, sometimes overshadowing the practical effects that gave the first film its raw edge. Despite these shortcomings, the sequel remains an entertaining continuation, offering fans more action, expanded mythology, and a relentless pace.

Average score for an average film. Nothing special. Good telling of what the story is about etc but feel let down by the actual scenes. Good ending fight

It was good. A bit edgy, and not very deep but the art direction and costume designs were fun and sexy. I wouldnt go out of your way to watch this but if your on a date and need a movie for the night it's not a bad pick.
