Toys Ratings & Reviews
- Christopher King4d agoMan, this is a weird movie. They say Barry Levinson worked for over 10 years on the script and had to make a lot of movies for the studio before the studio will allow him to make this movie. Anytime you hear that a writer/director spent that much time on a property and finally brought it to screen, you can guarantee that there's going to be problems with it. Something happens in those rewrites where the Creator gets so close to the material that they can no longer discern what is good and what is bad and lose the connection to the audience that is necessary to tell a story. Overall the performances aren't bad, but man, this is a weird movie.
- JindaiDecember 10, 2025A gem for the first hour, but the end is a letdown
- SealTeamOneNovember 29, 2025Not quite as good as another Robin Williams gem, Death to Smoochy, this Levinson bomb is an entertaining, underrated flick.
- Baloo UrizaJuly 28, 2025I think this movie hit everyone's collective memory hole because the premise and plot iss very in the "bad video game writing" category. Good for Robin Williams completionists and fans of movies that tried to be good but just didn't pan out.
- Alexander SierputowskiMay 11, 2025Fun surreal movie with a ton of liminal spaces. Silly story, a bit spooky for the kids but nothing outrageous.
