Tom Sawyer
Directed by John CromwellWhere to Watch Tom Sawyer
- MJ MediaJuly 21, 2025When I was 6-10 years old, this would have been 1956-1960, this movie would be on TV on Saturday kids hours. There is a good chance I would have watched this movie with my grandmother. She would have made popcorn and would watched the movie with me. So, it was absolutely wonderful to see this movie again. The script stays very close to Mark Twain's novel that I would have read as a kid. Injun Joe is still a scary guy. Tom and Becky are simply just kids. I recommend that parents watch this movie with your kids on a rainy Saturday with plenty of popcorn. Somehow try to explain - at one time life was like this.
