This is forever going to be the movie the people bring up when they want to bash the post Endgame MCU. Yes this movie is not the best and has some really low lows (Axl CGI), but there are moments I enjoyed. The actors are completely innocent in this movie they’re working with a pretty bland and meanness script for the majority of this movie. Bale especially stood out to me, as he does most of the time let’s be real, and Hemsworth is literally the only person on planet earth who could be Thor. For me I’m just tired of using Thor as a comedy act and I’m really hoping his charecter doomsday and going forward brings him back to his more serious side

Colorful Fun That Struggles to Find Balance "Thor: Love and Thunder" leans heavily into humor and vibrant spectacle, delivering an experience that feels energetic and playful from the very beginning. Its tone is intentionally exaggerated and lighthearted, aiming to recapture the quirky charm of its predecessor while pushing the character into even more comedic territory. The performances are lively and clearly committed to the film's eccentric style. The cast embraces the absurdity with enthusiasm, bringing charisma and strong comedic timing that helps many scenes remain entertaining even when the material becomes overly whimsical. Visually, the film is bold and eye-catching, filled with bright colors, stylized action, and imaginative set pieces. The soundtrack adds to the high-energy atmosphere, reinforcing the film's playful identity and giving the spectacle an extra layer of excitement. The script keeps a brisk pace, moving quickly between jokes, action, and emotional beats. While this rhythm keeps the film easy to watch, it sometimes prevents certain moments from fully landing, as tonal shifts can feel abrupt rather than smoothly developed. At times, the heavy reliance on humor undermines the dramatic potential of the story. Some ideas are introduced with promise but are not explored deeply enough, leaving the overall narrative feeling slightly superficial. Despite its inconsistencies, the film remains a colorful and entertaining ride. Its charm, visual flair, and energetic performances make it enjoyable in the moment, even if it doesn't leave the same lasting impression as stronger entries in the franchise.

The only good thing about this movie is Christian Bale, and still they've fucked up this villain story...

RIP the once Mighty Thor. You are now a punch-line.

Love & Thunder is yet another great film by Waititi, with the humour and ties to the larger MCU keeping Thor's escapades strung together well. The concepts of loss are more profound than the Asgardian's other films, and it becomes another step in the "Life of Thor" as we watch him continue to grow the way Odin always knew he would. My only gripe is the absolute treasure trove behind Gorr - primarily, the Necrosword. Within the Earth-616 timeline, we know Knull forged it on his homeworld, and that starts adding the link to Spider-Man and Venom. But the sword itself and Gorr aren't used as much, acting almost as a secondary antagonist, falling under the shadow (pun intended) of "real life problems". While Love & Thunder is a strong film, it seems that the "darkness" that Marvel wants to explore is a human darkness, and not one that corrupts beyond anything we can imagine. And given that it's Thor (and the Mighty Lady Thor), I need more darkness. And hammer.

Made Thor look like a weak idiot. Far cry from the first Thor movie. They could have made this the best movie with Gor the god killer story line. But failed just put woke agenda in the forefront.

It has a good movie within though I feel some parts are unnecessary and pull away from how the other movies were.

This was a bad movie, Jane is uninteresting and coated with plot armor.

    Not like this

Entertaining fights, great villain, some funny banter. But ultimately suffers from unwillingness to go dark. Gorr deserves an R rating.

A fun-but-fractured ride that can’t find its balance. The humor hits sometimes, misses a lot. Gorr deserved a darker, deeper story. Okay to watch once, but doesn’t stick around

I sincerely wish that I had given this movie a fair chance when it initially released. After forcing myself to complete the movie despite my reservations due to word of mouth, I found that besides the GLARING moments where it seemed like Marvel Studios had no more money left in the budget for the CGI, this is honestly a pretty enjoyable movie. It certainly isn't the best of Marvel and isn't going in any top 10's but all in all the story holds, the humor can feel a little overbearing at times but I expect no less from Mr. Waititi. If you give it a chance and watch it completely it really is worth at least one viewing.
