On the way, he falls in love with Rikscha, the robber's daughter, who unbuttoned his uniform pants. Upon his arrival, the commander of Tossenstein tasks him with a punitive expedition against the band of robbers. As a reward, Alexis receives the commander's daughter Lilli as his bride.
