The Void
Directed by Jeremy Gillespie, Steven KostanskiWhen Sheriff Deputy Carter (Aaron Poole) discovers a blood-soaked man limping down a deserted road, he rushes him to a local hospital with a barebones, night shift staff. As cloaked, cult-like figures surround the building, the patients and staff inside start to turn ravenously insane. Trying to protect the survivors, Carter leads them into the depths of the hospital where they discover a gateway to immense evil.

- The_Holmes5d agoThe movie is misnamed big time. This is a very interesting piece of work. No idea where its going. Operates in a few different genres of horror/sci fi. The SFX will remind you of The Thing.

The movie surprisingly well made and the acting pretty good too! A movie that works well left with some open ends in case they want to revisit it one day, but also works as a one and done.

- FenrisfilOctober 4, 2025A love letter to both John Carpenter and H.P. Lovecraft. More the former really. Unlikely many movies that attempt to be "Carpenteresque" this one achieves it. If you are a John Carpenter fan, you need to watch this movie. On the other hand if you never got what the fuss was about, you probably won't care for this either.
- JesseJune 1, 2025Super cool practical effects. The movie starts to pick up in the second act, then it dies down. Then it picks up. Then, it dies down again. Ultimately lackluster but still worth the watch for about 10 minutes of kickass effects.
