The Vault Ratings & Reviews
- jackmeatJune 9, 2025My quick rating - 6.4/10. I am always a sucker for a good heist flick. This one delivers on that front. That and bring in a decent array of characters to complete your team, which this one has as well. Taking place during a World Cup match in Spain was a nice touch and added to the story. The only big problem with this movie is what makes it good. It has all been done. It is more like watching a "how-to" on making a heist movie. Every element is there: the impossible vault trick to crack, the double cross, the female member becoming a love interest. So while enjoying the flick the whole time I am bitching. So, staying positive, this one does hit all the right parts in style. Nice camerawork, the safe itself is fairly unique, and the ending is fitting. Just enough to say sequel, and a closed story at the same time, which was a good way to leave it. If you are a fan of heist flicks in general, you will surely not be disappointed.
- Riley NicholsonJanuary 6, 2026It just never really gets exciting. The cinematography is fine, the vault design should be an interesting challenge, the acting is fine, etc., but it never manages to raise the stakes emotionally and is full of plot holes that add up to break immersion every few minutes, which is more of a problem because of the focus on "engineering" rather than more human elements of heisting. Overall, there's nothing noteworthy about this film and I'd rather re-watch the worst Oceans movie or The Italian Job or just about any other heist movie, because they are all better.
