The Running Man Ratings & Reviews
- bella.1820 de abril de 2026Good film, worth to watch. Acting is not bad too
- ThreeGs11 de abril de 2026Definitely closer to the original story than the other one. Characters are a bit flat. I'd say watch the other one.
- WiseGuySaidSo9 de abril de 2026This movie is definitely a thrilling ride that is a few steps closer to the source material than the 1987 entry. Is it a better movie? Probably. Do I have a bias toward the original? Absolutely!
- stuhannaford6 de abril de 2026What is the obsession with modern action movies being over two hours? It's good fun, raises interesting points (in such interesting times) and is certainly watchable... but there is no need for the 'run'time. Trim off 40 mins, and you'd have had a fast paced, high tension, action thriller. Instead, at times, it feels a little drawn out, and lacking in urgency... which happens with a fairly straight line story, spread out over an extended period. Powell comes across well, and some of the ideas and concepts raise questions, so most certainly worth a watch... just too long. More walking, than Running Man.
- Rick13 de noviembre de 2025Where the hell was Dynamo?
- Sean Murphy5 de abril de 2026Look. It's fun and has good action. The budget was there for sure. I grew up with the original so consider me biased but this doesn't come close to Arnold's Running Man. As dated as the original is, it is a wild ride. Truly, the remake is more grounded, but I think that's what I miss most about the original. We were definitely spoiled with what Schwarzenegger brought to his films at his peak. Everyone did what they could with this idea, but as far as remakes go or reimagining I'm glad I saw it but I just don't think it's something I would ever push play on again. Side by side. If the original was on and this was on at the same time I would definitely watch the original. Sub-Zero, Buzzsaw, Dynamo, and who can forget Captain freedom? Corrupt money wielding Network with themed chasers that everybody bets on is just a much better concept. Damon Killian was a real scumbag and I LOVE Josh Brolin. He did great but as the classic TV host the OG still tops. I think the best thing you can do to honor the original classics is not to try to reimagine them. If you're going to do it, I would much rather you just update it with new actors and special effects and be honest about what it is. I think that's the most fair for everybody. I understand this is closer to Stephen King's book but that being said, the original still wins out.
- gibbens30 de noviembre de 2025Look, I know Running Man caught some heat from critics, but honestly? I had a blast. It barely slows down, the main character is just straight-up entertaining, and the whole thing has this wild, pulpy energy that never lets up. It’s the kind of movie that knows exactly what it is and just leans into being fun as hell. Did I mention it’s fun? Because it is. Like… really fun. Seriously — it’s awesome.
- Divine Sinz3 de abril de 2026I enjoyed this one a lot. It's a lot different than the book, which I love, but it was a good standalone movie that represented the main themes of the book relatively well. Great performances and entertaining as hell.
- Oʂɯαʅԃσ Rσყҽƚƚ16 de noviembre de 2025I loved it and I don't care if some people say it's a popcorn movie. It so very book accurate adaption, except some tiny details but I don't want to spoil it.
- Hugo Navia29 de marzo de 2026Eerily prophetic.
- Ray Hopkin24 de marzo de 2026This was a blast, I loved it! I'm a big fan of the original, so I was a bit sceptical. But, this doesn't really try to be anything like the original, it's its own thing, and it's not afraid to admit that it's an out-and-out popcorn movie, which in essence is why the original is so awesome. Powered by Powell's charisma, and sustained by the relentless action, it's a super fun time, while also sneaking in some sharp observations on the world we are heading to. The biggest disappointment from this movie compared to the original? The hunters. In the original each hunter had a unique, and awesome, personality, whereas here they are basically just dumb ass murderers like ICE agents. And while it's good to point out that governments are deploying masked gunmen to be judge, jury and executioners today, you can't help but miss Jim Brown, Jesse Ventura and Dynamo! Oh, and Brolin is no Dawson! But, apart from those minor quibbles, it was an absolute blast!
- Doc.Max9 de diciembre de 2025Giving Running Man (2025) a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars. Mostly because, even with all the modern tech and effects, it’s tough to follow up on the original 1987 classic. That movie came from a time with less tech, less CGI… and somehow pulled off a more entertaining, more memorable experience. The original was your quintessential 80s good-guy-vs-megacorp story. Honestly, studios should make more movies like that today; people in 2025 would relate to it more than they think. One major difference: the hunters. In the 1987 version, every hunter was completely unique, creative, and gloriously over-the-top, perfect 80s villain energy. In this remake? The hunters are just generic guys in black suits, a visual theme we’ve seen way too often in modern movies (their outfits even reminded me of the Spaceballs version of Stormtroopers). That said, the movie was entertaining. It had its moments, the core scenes were well executed, and the pacing was decent… but like most post-2010 films, the story still feels rushed. The acting was strong across the board. Another big arc difference: • The original had one host who basically ran the entire show. • The remake splits that role between a host and what looks like a network executive. I liked the new characters, but let’s be honest—it’s almost impossible to replace Richard Dawson in that role. 🫡 Overall? Fun, worth watching, but missing some of the wild creativity and charm that made the original iconic. It won’t be on my rewatch list like running man 1987 though, but worth watching once.
- capt8bot12 de diciembre de 2025Honestly, this was a lot of fun. "Comparison is the thief of joy...", if you go in thinking this should be a 1:1 remake then you will likely be disappointed. If you see this for what it is, a very entertaining and wild ride, you will have fun. Glen, keep doing your thing, my man. I'm enjoying seeing you get your ass kicked ;p
- aBudGx22 de marzo de 2026It had its good moments but it goes all over the place and end up with a rushed ending.
- Tamás Bácskay22 de marzo de 2026Good movie.
