The Revenge of Frankenstein Ratings & Reviews

It is a solid follow-up to the original, with Peter Cushing once again doing a great job as the creepy but fascinating Baron Frankenstein. The movie looks great, with moody sets and classic horror vibes that really pull you in. The story is interesting, even if it moves a bit slow at times. It’s more about the Baron’s twisted experiments and less about big scares, but it still keeps you watching. It’s not amazing, but it’s definitely worth checking out if you like old-school horror. A decent sequel with a cool atmosphere.
TV Guide
Surpassed in its shocking effects perhaps only by Warhol's version.
Antagony & Ecstasy
Tim Brayton
One of the most sophisticated and intelligent follow-ups to a horror classic that has ever been put to film.

This is a high grade horror film.

...trods off the established path of Frankenstein tropes and eschews routine horrifics by putting a lens on its people rather than on an expected cereal-box monster.
Journal and Courier (Lafayette, IN)

An OK sequel with plenty of shocks and Cushing's wonderful, energetic performance as the brilliant, obsessed Dr. Frankenstein

Another Hammer treatment, as usual worth seeing.

Easily the best film in the Hammer Frankenstein series.
Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews
Dennis Schwartz
There was a staid quality about the film that kept it from being as gripping as it could have been.
