The Raid Ratings & Reviews
- yves-carmineDecember 7, 2025There isn't much to say about The Raid besides how gripping and real the action felt. This is a definite recommendation for anyone who enjoys choreographed martial arts and visceral violence. The only issue with this film is how poorly the english dub was recorded, and truthfully that's likely though no fault of the actual film makers of The Raid.
- Oscar SaragossiOctober 31, 2025The best action movie ever made
- Liam WaltersNovember 22, 2025The Raid is an intensely entertaining film that keeps you on edge from start to finish. While it shares some of the relentless action energy found in John Wick, The Raid stands out as the original of its kind—and in my opinion, the stronger film. If you’ve never seen The Raid, it’s absolutely worth a watch.
- jackmeatNovember 10, 2025My quick rating - 7.5/10. (That was from when I watched this in Indonesian with subtitles. I now have a dubbed & uncut version that is eye-friendly, so I'll see if it changes). The story is quite simple. A corrupt police force is sent in to bust a paranoid crime lord's 30-story drug haven. I would love to say I noticed the differences in this uncut version, but I did watch it the first time about a decade ago, so there wasn't anything that jumped out at me. However, that didn't stop me from enjoying this exceptional action flick again. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys the non-stop momentum of a flick. The martial arts scenes were choreographed to perfection, making all the fights visually a treat. I cannot single out any of the scenes or the actors since they are all top-notch. Both Iko Uwais and Joe Taslim went on from this to appear in quite a few solid flicks that I am sure you will recognize if you check their IMDB resumes. I'll keep it short since there are plenty of full-length reviews out there and just say it is a must-watch for sure. Rating didn't change.
- D3LTA L4MBDAOctober 11, 2025It's got the biffs, bams, booms, and pows for sure. You'll watch this movie purely because you want to see 100 minutes of non stop action choreography that slaps harder than your moms cheeks behind the local Wendy's.
- HakihikoSeptember 24, 2025Relentless Action, Simple Story "The Raid" is a raw, high-adrenaline action film that delivers exactly what it promises: nonstop, bone-crunching fights in a claustrophobic setting. The choreography is sharp, brutal, and incredibly inventive, showcasing martial arts sequences that leave a lasting impression. It’s intense, fast-paced, and never really gives you a chance to breathe. That said, the story is bare-bones and serves mostly as a setup for the action. While this works in keeping the momentum high, it doesn’t leave much room for emotional depth or character development. The film’s strength lies entirely in its physicality and execution, not in its narrative layers. Still, "The Raid" is undeniably entertaining if you’re in it for the action alone. It’s a thrilling showcase of skill and style, even if it lacks the storytelling weight to elevate it further.
- JariWezerJuly 14, 2025This movie is so tight!
- mickerdooJuly 13, 2025It's extremely entertaining for such a simple premise. Insane fighting sequences. Uwais, among others, kills it. Even some twists.
