The Pride of St. Louis Ratings & Reviews
Charles London
February 21, 2025
Dizzy Dean probably deserved better than this. It's a so-so biopic that spends too much time on Dean's love life and too little on his baseball life. If it were not a true story, it would be a 2-star film at best.
The Nation
Manny Farber
[An] ultra-civic-minded work manages to kill the idea of baseball as the national pastime.
Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews
Dennis Schwartz
If you don't like baseball, you probably won't like this pic.
Old School Reviews
John A. Nesbit
A potentially good film is trimmed down to a tolerable mediocre one, and Diz and the Cardinals deserve better.
