The middle drags a little, relying on familiar beats, but it still has enough charm and performances that keep it watchable. By the end, though, it gets chaotic and overstuffed, with plot points and set pieces that feel rushed and sloppy. There’s a lot of ambition and flashes of fun, but it’s uneven enough that the good parts don’t quite outweigh the bad.
- theLillyPad2026年1月19日Who let this movie get released? In competition with Badlands for the worst in the franchise, this is very bad for very different reasons. The key-jangling references to better movies is annoying and I never believe the bonds between most of these characters are formed so quickly. Watching it feels like those awful Sony Spider-Man spin-offs that are made to maintain the franchise. I wonder if this project wasn't made under similar circumstances. Finally, who's idea was it to throw an Autistic 10 year old to witness first-hand the carnage of a predator?! This leads nowhere good. Firstly, his nonchalaunt responses to the gore is genuienly chilling. Second of all, they rely on the offensive trope of autism being a superpower, and--like everything else in this movie--it's not done subtly. Furthermore, they forgot to have the Predator hunt anything until the last 20 minutes, and then for like 5 min. The Marvel-style quippy humor is frustrating, distracting, and annoying.

This film keeps trying to explain, modernize, joke, and out-smart its own premise, where the Predator played by its own code. Feels like two different movies stitched together: one trying to be gritty sci fi horror, the other a campy action comedy with forced jokes and weird tone shifts. The cast gives it their all and there are cool ideas buried in there, but the story keeps tripping over itself. By the end, it’s hard to tell what it was even aiming for. Shame, because the potential was there.
