Led by a brilliant Ryan Gosling, this moody, ambitious epic is broken into distinct parts that keep you hooked throughout. It’s a deeply thought-provoking exploration of masculinity, the desperate need to provide, and the cycles of corruption and revenge. Despite its heavy themes of self-preservation and legacy, it remains incredibly watchable and atmospheric.
