- pah55317. Januar 2026The Place Beyond the Pines (2012) is one I’ve been meaning to watch for ages and it certainly did not disappoint. Led by a brilliant Ryan Gosling, this moody, ambitious epic is broken into distinct parts that keep you hooked throughout. It’s a deeply thought-provoking exploration of masculinity, the desperate need to provide, and the cycles of corruption and revenge. Despite its heavy themes of self-preservation and legacy, it remains incredibly watchable and atmospheric.

The Place Beyond The Pines will entertain you with some action, a love story and the feeling of not wasting your time blindly. Put it on your watch-list and see if you don't agree that the movie and its sound track is worth the time. Small fact, Mike Patton the lead singer from Faith No More and Mr. Bungle put together the score.
