- DavidBunnyDad27 marca 2026Solid entry in the '70s sub-genre of films about taciturn, lone-wolf thieves, spies or hit-men who go up against the monolith of larger ``outfits.'' Other notable films in this genre are Charlie Varrick, The Last Run, The Driver, The Domino Principle, and even 1967's Point Blank. The Outfit coasts on the considerable chemistry of Robert Duvall and Joe Don Baker; its charms are that of the ``hangout movie.'' The plot and the villains are serviceable but no more. It's a must-watch for fans of Duvall, though: This was one of his early lead roles on the big screen, and he absolutely nailed it.
