The Orphanage Ratings & Reviews
- NiztradamusAugust 25, 2025It's a heartbreaking story of a mother that has lost her child. The acting is excellent but it's more of a drama than a horror movie. Yes, there are scares, yes, there are spooky things happening but I would wager this movie belongs more in the fantastical drama genre than in horror. I found it a bit boring because of that but I can see how someone could really love this movie. As a conniseur of the horror genre that has seen thousands of horror movies this one just didn't do it for me. If you are however someone that prefers to watch family dramas and wants to dabble in horror, you could do much worse than this movie. You'll probably even love it.
- StairwaytothestarsOctober 26, 2025A beautifully haunting and touching movie, about sorrow and lost souls searching for compassion and needing a loving home in THE ORPHANAGE. Do the children or the headmistress need it more? Most importantly, they found each other.
