Directed by Vichit KounavudhiVillager Ar Yo marries his childhood sweetheart Ar Mee Yo, who bears him twins. This is regarded as an evil omen; the infants are killed. Expelled from the village, Ar Mee Yo drowns and Ar Yo is later attacked by Chinese Haw opium traders.
