Lucy portrays a woman studio boss who sets out to sign Bob Hope to star in a comedy special that is a show-within-a-show on which they play a famous married couple, Bonnie and Bill Barton, partially adapted from a play written by Sherwood Schwartz of "Gilligan's Island" fame. It was the first television special ever produced starring Lucille Ball and was broadcast in color.
