Trouble ensues when a motorcycle gang stops in a small southern town while heading to the races at Daytona.
- Rob MacKinnonMarch 18, 2026I did not know that this movie existed until going through my ‘80’s misses. I love the vibe of this, the 1950’s music and the whole “The Wild One” meets some kind of David Lynch-ian small town dark underbelly aesthetic. And Willem Dafoe - holy cow. The character of Davis, played by Robert Gordon (who did the songs as well), seemed so familiar to me. I couldn’t place him, but I knew I’d seen him before. With the help of the internets, it hit me: he was on an episode of SCTV. He’s the musical guest on an episode in which Dave Thomas as Walter Cronkite mistakes him for astronaut Gordon Cooper (I always loved how SCTV would incorporate their musical guests into the sketches). You can find it on YouTube.
