Fighting out of Louisville, Kentucky, he would be compared to Muhammad Ali early in his career and patterned his fighting style after him. But Page, like so many other fighters, stayed in the sport for too long, campaigning into his early 40s. He would suffer a tragic injury during his last bout and spend his remaining years confined to a wheelchair.
