The Long Night Ratings & Reviews

First off to the people that left the negative reviews, DID YOU EVEN WATCH THE SAME MOVIE OR DO YOU JUST NOT LIKE HORROR. Sorry back to the movie, someone stated that this was a indie movie, not by a long shot, if by indie you mean was it in theaters well then yes but by how the movie was made not even close. This movie is not for the faint of heart gets right down to the core of what horror movie fans crave. It is dark, and creepy as hell. when producers/writers go down this route they are gems. Don't be fooled by the plot it is not a satanic movie by any means on the blue ray edition, you can watch a segment with the producer and writer totally normal people and the plot makes sense. So for the people that already have the other dark creepy little horror gems that have came out in the past few years or so, ITS TIME TO GET FREAKED OUT AGAIN, just don't let the LONG NIGHT BEGIN.

Ragsdale has proven to be the master of modern-day paranormal activity.
Ghouls Magazine
Ygraine Hackett-Cantabrana
The Long Night is a gloomy and foreboding atmospheric set piece with traditional yet not entirely tired folk horror visuals.
Keith & the Movies
Keith Garlington
Neither the spooky backwoods tropes or the deranged death cult can muster the kind of tension this movie desperately needs.
Paste Magazine
Matt Donato
In with a whimper, out with a smatter of blood, leaving audiences scratching their heads.
Cinema Crazed
Emilie Black
The Long Night is a beautiful to look at, dark film with some truly tense moments, some sequences that are actually surprising, and a few images that will stick with the viewer for a while afterwards.
The Film Stage
Jared Mobarak
Everyone involved does the best with what they're given, perhaps saving The Long Night from being even more forgettable. The script does none of them any favors by fearing its own mythology and hiding it in a way that makes it seem like it has none.
Jessie Gender YouTube Channel
Jessie Gender
The Long Night is more concerned with atmosphere than trying to do anything new or engaging with its tired "trapped in a house" slasher formula.
AMovieGuy.com
Leo Brady
The Long Night tries to work with scary masks and jump scares, which is not enough to make an entertaining horror movie.
Austin Chronicle
Richard Whittaker
While The Long Night may not be revolutionary, it's definitely got its own dark magic.
AIPT
Nathaniel Muir
Atmospheric and filled with tension, the movie is an easy sell for horror fans. Some will find that the plot is too reliant on horror tropes, but there are genuine scares and entertainment to be found.
RogerEbert.com
Peter Sobczynski
Even the most indulgent of genre fans will find The Long Night a chore to sit through.
Boston Herald
James Verniere
Sometimes, you're just in the mood for a good devil worshiper film.
Assignment X
Abbie Bernstein
Taylor-Compton's performance is definitely a plus. The actor depicts primal rage with visceral power, and she also seems properly terrified in the sequences that call for it.
Mark Reviews Movies
Mark Dujsik
Some decent performances and a bit of humor ... help this otherwise familiar and formulaic story, until the familiar formula ... overshadows everything.
CBR
Jon Mendelsohn
Its ending helps pull the experience together as a memorable horror film that creates the stuff of nightmares.
We Live Entertainment
Aaron Neuwirth
Throw in a little Jeff Fahey (which always goes a long way), and theres a solid 90-minute horror flick that does what it needs to for our entertainment.
One Guy's Opinion
Frank Swietek
The plot could be written on a mini-post-it note, but Rich Ragsdales horror movie has style to burn, which might be enough for some genre fans. For most viewers, though, 'The Long Night' will come across as both familiar and silly.
Blu-ray.com
Brian Orndorf
Ragsdale pursues a directorial exercise with the picture, not interested in storytelling needs.
The Weekend Warrior (Substack)
Edward Douglas
"The two leads do a relatively decent job selling the fear, and the absolutely horrifying things Ragsdale produces does the rest."
