People in Sardinia believed that seventh daughter born in the row is a witch and they took them all rights to be women. The village witch couldn't have contacts with men but needed to help other women to give birth to them.We follow the story of Fidela, Bastiana and Marianna. In the tradition and mythology of Sardinia, fear and superstition dominate the life of Fidela, who is born seventh after six other girls and becomes, to her regret, the village witch who cannot have contact with men and therefore cannot have children, but helps other women to give birth to them. When she has to accept her fate, the village priest entrusts her with Bastiana, also born as the seventh child. Fidela discovers the joy of feeling like a mother, but in the meantime she must continue to maintain her role in the traditional society where rebelling is impossible and at the same time help her sister Marianna, who cannot fulfill her dream of becoming a mother.
