The Karate Kid Part III Ratings & Reviews
- James Saenz3 June 2025“i love it when he pounds him!“ an improvement over part two, but still pales in comparison to the original. i like the visual language of the film, and the symbolic journey the bonsai undergoes throughout the course of the movie as a reflection of daniel and mr. miyagi’s relationship. i like how daniel actually has a character arc again, and how mr. miyagi deals with their straining relationship. thomas ian griffith as terry silvers is so over the top, a mustache twirling antagonist from james bond-esque movies of a bygone era. he feels so out of place in this story but there’s no denying how fun his chaos is, and how it consists of much of the entertainment of the film. p.s. daniel’s rizz is insane he literally meets a girl for the first time in every film and immediately has her falling for him it’s unparalleled rizz.
- Zokkiie5 March 2026This one definitely leans hard into the over-the-top drama. The story tries to bring back the tournament vibe while adding a revenge plot, but it doesn’t quite land. Some of the characters feel forced, and the pacing drags more than the first two films. That said, there are still a few fun training moments and Miyagi is as solid as ever, giving the movie some heart. The final fight is okay but doesn’t have the same punch as the original. Overall, it’s a decent watch if you’re a fan, but not much more than that.
