Too long.... Not one I would personally watch again. If you enjoy this movie... Kudos. You do you.

“ Talk to your friend. Tell him, it’s what it is.“ - Russell Bufalino Oh it’s like coming home after a long hard day at work and slipping into a nice comfy pair of sweats you have had for years. Scorsese, De Niro, the great Joe Pesci and the Mob. I will always love the way Mr. Scorsese tells a story, charismatic characters and the feeling you are not just watching it, but you are living it. Gets me hooked every time.

The defining statement that sets this one apart from all other (including Scorcese's) mob films is in its grounded simplicity and refusal to glamorize. Granted, it's very fun to watch the flashy, raucous, live-fast-die-hard energy of the mainstays, but taking a hard turn into realism is where this one shines and blossoms into a story less about the mob itself and more about consequences and the fallout of actions that you know are going to come back to haunt you.

I thought it was so hilariously ironic that Scorsese publicly took a shot at superhero movies and then released this movie, which feels like his version of End Game considering it’s every movie he’s ever made with every actor he’s ever worked with.

Felt lacking in the doing department. Felt like a lot of old guys just sitting and talking.

Was this movie good? Yes. Was it interesting? Yes. Was it well acted? Yes. Was it also long? Yes. Was it a lot of names? Yes. I felt like I was watching a slick history book.

Took me a couple attempts, but finally consumed it in a single session, im already thinking of a second viewing. Huge Goodfellas fan and the Irishman stands tall amongst giants.
