Leaving his wife in Osaka, Honda leads a double life in Tokyo. While living in a hotel, he is also renting an apartment for fulfilling his sexual appetite. There, he records the results of his 'girl hunts' to the last detail in his diary, which he titles 'Hunter's Diary'. One day, he finds a newspaper article about a young woman who was strangled to death. The victim's name seems familiar to him. A few days later, another similar murder case occurs.
